Dr. Joy Oladimeji Salami is a pharmacologist and toxicologist with extensive expertise in ethnomedicine, drug development, and environmental toxicology. Currently serving as Assistant Director Research at the National Biotechnology Research & Development Agency (NBRDA), she brings over a decade of experience in pharmacological evaluation, toxicity studies, and drug repurposing. Her research spans both in vivo and in silico approaches, with a focus on evaluating the safety and efficacy of herbal medicines and assessing the ecological impact of pharmaceutical contaminants. Dr. Oladimeji Salami has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications and is a contributor to Nigeria’s scientific and regulatory landscape. Her strong academic background, which includes a PhD in Pharmacology from the College of Medicine at the University of Lagos, complements her hands-on experience in clinical research and biotechnology.
