Pharmacovigilance

UCTSS will work with sponsors to actively collect and collate drug related data from members of the public exposed to their products by working with hospitals and pharmacies recruited specifically for such projects. We will work with prescribed sample sizes from different regions and extrapolate data presented in desired reporting formats.

Pharmacovigilance is a growing entity in Nigeria. The reporting profile of adverse reactions and burden is yet to be fully characterized in this homogenous setting.

The detection, assessment, understanding and reporting of adverse drug reactions or any other medicine/vaccine related issues continues to be a concern in the Nigerian drug industry today. Though National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) has developed many open channels for reporting but it has not been actively implemented. There is the absence of the systematic monitoring and reporting of post marketing drug safety largely due to the absence of safety data as impacted on the Nigerian populace. There is the need to proactively monitor and report adverse drug reactions in Nigeria so as to promote the possibility of developing variations suitable for the population.

This is a niche service provided by our sister company Dat-a-Life Solutions who will work with you to design and implement the project according to your requirements as a sponsor.
